Internet Pet Peeves

Monday, August 27th, 2007

We all have pet peeves. Those little annoyances that emerge in the environs where we spend the most time. For those poor souls that commute to DC it may be drivers that slow down just to look at a car broken down on the shoulder.

Since I spend a fair amount of time in front of a computer my pet peeves usually originate around internet related annoyances. Below is a short list of some of my internet pet peeves.

  • Any eBay feedback that contains something like “…blah, blah. A+++++++++++++++++++…”
  • Email with multiple colored fonts, all sized greater than 36 points
  • Email forwards that I have to dive 20 layers down to read
  • Silly Instant Messenger names, e.g. ILoveMyKitties3476
  • Email that asks you to “forward this to everyone in your address book”
  • (Most) computer users over the age of 50
  • Spam, but bacn is tolerable
  • Web pages that open pop ups when you simply navigate their site

What are some of your pet peeves?
